Motorsport is a great British success story, hugely contributing to the Buckinghamshire economy with Silverstone Circuit and countless companies in the sector. As we mark International Women's Day this week, Greg Smith MP took the opportunity of asking the Leader of the House of Commons to join me in congratulating Formula 1 for the launch of the F1 academy to encourage, nurture and promote female talent in motorsport and wish their new MD Susie Wolff and team the best of luck as this important initiative is launched.
Greg said, "It is so important we do all we can to encourage more women into motorsport and through my role as Co-Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Motorsport, I will continue to do all I can do support initiatives such as the F1 Academy."
