At Prime Minister's Questions earlier Greg Smith MP raised the case of Wycombe Hospital.
Across the Buckingham constituency we rely on many nearby hospitals, where there is a good news story to tell - such as the commitment to a new women and children's hospital at Milton Keynes and the new paediatric A&E at Stoke Mandeville Hospital opened earlier this year. However, Wycombe Hospital needs urgent attention, with the aging tower creating an enormous headache for Buckinghamshire NHS Healthcare Trust, with maintenance issues with the building leading to a loss of capacity estimated to mean 2,000 operations a year are not going ahead. Greg asked the Prime Minister to back our Trusts plan for a new £200 million clinical centre at Wycombe Hospital.
