Greg has called on people in the constituency to support the Poppy Appeal by using their electronic donations feature.
Every year millions of people across the country proudly put on their poppies and raise vital funds for our veterans as part of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. In 2020 The Royal British Legion is asking everyone to back the Poppy Appeal in a new way because like so many things, the Appeal has to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Royal British Legion and Revolut, a British financial technology company, have teamed up to enable millions of people to donate directly to the Poppy Appeal through the Revolut Donations feature.
With Revolut, people in the constituency can support the Poppy Appeal each time they spend by automatically rounding up their card transactions to the nearest pound and instantly donating the difference. Revolut users can also make regular recurring payments or one-off donations. One hundred per cent of each donation goes directly to the Poppy Appeal. The service is completely free for the Royal British Legion.
Greg said: “Every November, thousands of people in the constituency proudly put on their poppies and raise vital funds for our veterans. But like so many things this year, the Poppy Appeal has had to adapt to Covid-19. That is why I am delighted to support Revolut’s innovative partnership with the Royal British Legion to enable Revolut users in Buckingham to make their donation in a Covid-secure manner this year. This is a great example of an innovative British company using world-class technology to support our communities at a very difficult time.”
There are 9,000 Revolut customers in the constituency.
