Following the welcome refusal by Buckinghamshire Council's Strategic Sites Committee to give planning permission to a new mega prison adjacent to HMP Grendon and HMP Springhill, at Prime Ministers Questions today Greg Smith MP asked the PM if he agreed that it is also a matter of fairness that communities suffering due to the construction of big state infrastructure projects should not be asked to take yet more.
Greg further asked him to instruct the Ministry of Justice not to appeal the planning refusal.
Greg will continue to push this issue with Ministers so that we can end this prison threat for good.
