The crisis in the English Channel continues, with the evil people smugglers continuing to risk lives and ferry illegal migrants to the United Kingdom. The Prime Minister has rightly made tackling illegal immigration and stopping the small boats a top priority, but we are told further legislation is required to do that.
Earlier Greg Smith MP called on the Leader of the House of Commons to ensure that new legislation is before the House of Commons before Budget Day and given the same urgency legalisation like the Coronavirus Act and UK Internal Markets Act were given so that it has fast progress through Parliament.
