Greg Smith MP joined fellow Kop Hill Climb volunteers at a special thank you event tonight, celebrating news that the 2023 event raised £108,000 for local charities, pushing the cumulative total raised by the event over the years to over a million Pounds.
Each year Greg volunteers at the event, selling programmes for charity and this year added to his tasks with a stint on car park duty.
Greg said " It was a pleasure to join Countess Howe and Kop Hill Climb volunteers this evening, thanking everyone for all they do to make Kop Hill such a fantastic event, raising so much for charity.
"The event has become such an important part of the calendar and a real favourite. So much hard work goes in from so many people to make it happen - they are all heroes and it was a pleasure to speak at the event to thank all the organisers and volunteers.
"This year Kop Hill raised a staggering £108,000 for local causes, taking the cumulative total to £1,085,000!"
