As a member of the European Scrutiny Committee, Greg recently took part in an evidence session with representatives of British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies on the support they need from the UK Government regarding their trading relationships both with European countries and the rest of the world.
Exports are a crucial part of the economies of many British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies. Indeed if you order a squid dish in a restaurant in Spain, there is a high chance you will be eating superb squid from the Falkland Islands.
So in International Trade Questions earlier, Greg asked the Secretary of State for International Trade to reassure him that the Department for International Trade is doing every thing possible to support our Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies when it comes to trade.
