The Government are rightly making big changes to support parents with the costs of childcare, however Greg Smith MP used his question at Work and Pensions questions earlier to highlight the unintended consequences of government rates not fully meeting providers costs and urging DWP to work with the Department for Education to ensure this scheme both helps parents with cost and ensures childcare places are available in the first place.
