Greg Smith MP was humbled to be invited to join the South Bucks Jewish Community at Waddesdon Manor this evening to celebrate Chanukah with the lighting of the Chanukiyah in a moving ceremony led by Rabbi Neil Janes.
Commenting, Greg said, "I was struck by the difficult words said in introduction by Rabbi Janes that “we do not take for granted the ability to gather freely as a Jewish community.” The horrors of antisemitism we are seeing in the UK and worldwide must be defeated. May the hope represented in the lighting of the Chanukiyah shine through.
"I proudly stand with all Jewish constituents and thank the South Bucks Jewish Community for such a warm welcome to join the celebrations tonight."
