Greg Smith MP met with Anglian Water earlier to discuss challenges relating to flooding and sewerage capacity.
Greg said, "Fascinating morning with representatives of Anglian Water - alongside Councillors Ade Osibogun, Howard Mordue, Caroline Cornell and Patrick Fealey visiting their pumping station in Cornwalls Meadow Car Park and Buckingham Sewage Treatment Works, now known as their water recycling centre.
"A great deal discussed, including steps they need to take to prevent the sort of flooding we saw during Monday's storm, meeting sewage capacity when new developments are built and ending the use of storm overflows during heavy rainfall. Pleased to report that all storm overflows in the constituency will have live monitors by the end of the year (most already do) and they are working on plans required of them by legislation passed by this government to end the use of storm overflows."
