This morning (Tuesday 19th October 2021) Greg met with Chiltern Railways Managing Director Richard Allan. Chiltern are one the main providers of rail services in the constituency, with the stations of Princes Risborough, Monks Risborough, Little Kimble and Haddenham and Thame Parkway served by them in the constituency; and many constituents using Chiltern stations just outside the constituency such as Bicester, Aylesbury, Aylesbury Vale Parkway, Stoke Mandeville and Wendover.
Greg said: "We discussed the need to improve the frequency of rush hour services, as we all begin our return to the office, as well as improving on-board wifi and other key amenities. Many constituents have written to me expressing their frustration at the lack of available seats by the time trains reach their station. As a regular commuter from Haddenham & Thame Parkway I’ve felt this myself.
"Chiltern have assured me that capacity improvements will be made over the coming weeks, including some which start today, and major improvements from December as rolling stock returns from the repair yard. I welcome Chiltern’s continued engagement on these key issues and I look forward to working with them to help deliver an efficient and reliable service for my constituents."
