Greg Smith MP met with officers from British Transport Police and the Head of Security for Chiltern Railways this morning at Princes Risborough train station.
They discussed crime on the railways, pressures BTP officers face on a daily basis and the impact of the pandemic on their work.
Greg said: "It was fantastic to speak to such dedicated officers who work day in day out to keep us all safe on the transport network - often having to deal with incredibly sensitive and traumatic incidents where people attempt to take their own lives on the railway.
"I thank all officers for their service and will be taking back the issues they raised with me to Ministers in the Home Office and Department for Transport."
