This afternoon Greg met with representatives of the WI in Princes Risborough, alongside Cllr Gary Hall, to discuss environmental challenges.
Greg said, "We had a good discussion on the ways we can achieve net zero by 2050, including the development of synthetic fuels (currently being looked at by the Transport Select Committee); tree planting; recycling and waste; and decarbonising home heating in an affordable and workable way. There are enormous strides in technological innovation to deliver our decarbonisation goals and it is vital we get this right, through robust debate, challenge and scrutiny of what works not just today, but for the long term. Grateful for the green knitted heart they’d made for me to demonstrate their commitment to the environment."
