At the Transport Select Committee this week Greg Smith MP spent considerable time pushing the Rail Minister Huw Merriman and officials from the Department for Transport on the delays getting some additional rolling stock into Chiltern Railways to solve overcrowding issues in the short term, ahead of their 2030 wholesale fleet renewal plan. It is imperative Chiltern overcrowding is solved as quickly as humanly possible - service levels are beyond unacceptable on many services - and Greg will continue to push on this.
