During Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Questions earlier today, Greg asked a substantive about what assessment the Foreign Secretary has made of the implications for regional security of Iran’s potential support for terror groups in the Middle East.
Following a helpful answer from Minister James Cleverley, the Buckingham MP followed up by raising concerns about Iran remaining the world’s leading sponsor of terror groups, including those committed to the destruction of Israel, and continuing to enjoy impunity for its actions; asking if he shared my concern that having a nuclear weapon would give Iran the ultimate protection to spread its malign influence in the region, and to confirm that the UK will keep all options on the table to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power.
