This afternoon Greg Smith MP joined Cllrs Caroline Cornell and Patrick Fealey in Tingewick to meet with Parish Council Chair Trisha Lightfoot, Vice Chairman Martin Hornsey and a number of residents who again suffered from the flooding in the village on Monday during heavy rainfall. There is a clearly a great deal to be done to put in place flood protection schemes to stop water reaching properties in the village and Greg will be raising this with DEFRA and the Environment Agency; as well as working with Councillors to ensure Bucks Council clear gullys and Anglian Water ensure adequate drainage serves Tingewick.
