In the report Stage of the Levelling Up Bill Greg thanked Ministers for listening to his concerns and committing to explicitly put food security and food production into the new National Planning Policy Framework as a material concern in the planning process. With a four minute time limit on speeches, Greg focused the remaining time on supporting an amendment to ensure childcare provision can be funded through the new infrastructure levy. It is essential more is done to increase the availability of early years childcare and Greg will continue to campaign for this.
