Greg has welcomed the announcement that George Grenville Academy, Buckingham, will benefit from £205,100 of investment, under the Government’s Getting Building Fund.
Greg said: “I’m thrilled that George Grenville Academy is benefiting from the Government's great Getting Building Fund. The school is going from strength to strength and it's good to see it getting this much-needed boost.
“George Grenville Academy is a popular primary school with many because of its smaller size and this funding will help the school to thrive.
“This government funding for a vast number of projects nationwide will help the country to get back on its feet and kick start our economic recovery.”
The £900 million fund was announced by the Prime Minister in June as part of the Conservative Government’s New Deal for Britain – a strategy to rebuild Britain after coronavirus by putting skills and infrastructure investment at the heart of the recovery.
More than 300 projects, which have been determined as ‘shovel-ready', have been allocated a share of the fund. In total, the investment is expected to deliver up to 45,000 homes, create up to 85,000 jobs and reduce around 65 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions across England.
