This morning (26th November 2020), Greg called on Health Secretary Matt Hancock to fully consult Buckinghamshire Council and our local NHS in all reviews of the new tier system.
Commenting after his question Greg said: "Buckinghamshire Council have confirmed with me that they were not consulted or involved in the disappointing decision to place Buckinghamshire in the punitive tier 2 restrictions following the national lockdown. Beating Coronavirus is not easy, but I am far from convinced that the level of restriction being placed on Buckinghamshire, especially the Buckingham constituency, is necessary or proportionate to our infection rate. Local decisions, not just Whitehall instructions, are essential to get the balance right. We need a clear plan to get into tier 1 and ultimately be free from any restrictions so lives and livelihoods can get back to normal."
