Greg Smith MP has just returned from a delegation to Israel, where he visited communities attacked by Hamas on 7th October 2023, as well as meeting with families of hostages still held by Hamas and survivors.
Greg said, "What I saw and heard was horrendous beyond words. The pure evil and disregard for human life from the terrorists was clear. Whilst there the rockets continued to be fired into Israel, not just from Hamas in Gaza, but also in the north from Hezbollah. Israel must be allowed to defend itself and finish the job in destroying Hamas. But the threats are much deeper than that, not least given the sponsorship of terror from Iran and further afield - and that remains an important challenge not just for Israel, but all of us.
