With a record attendance pushing 480,000 people over the race weekend, our local, world class and iconic racing circuit Silverstone put on an incredible show for the 2023 Formula 1 Aramco British Grand Prix this weekend.
Commenting, Greg Smith said, "I am so proud to represent the Buckinghamshire half of Silverstone Circuit in Westminster. The beating heart of motorsport valley, Silverstone Circuit enables so much for our local economy, both in terms of the value to local businesses over the British Grand Prix weekend and the businesses that choose north Buckinghamshire for proximity to the circuit.
"The whole team at Silverstone should be proud of the show they put on, with incredible professionalism in hosting such a complex and large event - indeed the largest sporting event in the United Kingdom. Seeing the operation from behind the scenes, especially at the new control centre, shows just how much work by so many people, under the fantastic leadership of Managing Director Stuart Pringle, goes in to this important event.
"It was also a huge honour to present the 2nd place trophy on the podium of the Formula 3 sprint race on Saturday, as well as catching up with key figures from British and global motorsport in the Paddock."
