Since leaving the European Union, the United Kingdom can reach out to all parts of the globe, a outward looking free trading nation.
Free trade brings enormous benefits for British manufacturers, food producers and service providers. It is a pathway to growth and greater prosperity. And it is looking likely that the first "from scratch" free trade deal will be completed with Australia.
Greg absolutely understands that there is always a nervousness and a sense of unease with any change. But he is absolutely convinced that free trade will work in everyone's interest and bring huge benefits to our United Kingdom.
After an urgent question on this in the House of Commons earlier today (27th May 2021) Greg asked the Minister of State for Trade Policy to confirm that zero tariffs would save UK businesses, including those in Buckinghamshire, millions of Pounds, support jobs across the nation, boost exports on products such as whisky, gin, cars and cheeses and bring huge benefits to our agricultural sector?
The Minister happily confirmed the benefits to all, including highlighting the possibilities for gin producers, name checking three of our excellent local businesses Butlers Cross Gin, Foxdenton and Bucks Brothers.
