On Saturday 13th November 2021 Greg Smith MP took part in a ceremony to unveil a brand new memorial in Stoke Hammond to remember the work of RAF Stoke Hammond which operated in the village from 1943 to 1973.
Greg said: "It was really humbling to take part in the unveiling of a new memorial plaque in Stoke Hammond on Saturday morning to remember the intelligence work that took place at RAF Stoke Hammond in the Second World War and Cold War up until 1973. A fascinating history, where those who served there did so much for our country. Thank you to everyone involved in making this wonderful memorial happen and hopefully inspiring future generations to learn about the work of this important base."
