As part of Dementia Action Week, Greg Smith MP and Cllr Matthew Walsh visited the Virtual Dementia Tour UK vehicle which was in Wades Park, Princes Risborough today (20th May 2022) to try to better understand what those with dementia go through on a daily basis.
The experience in the vehicle is a scientifically and medically proven method of giving a people an experience of what dementia might be like, entering the world of the person and understand which simple changes need to be made to really improve lives of people with dementia.
Greg said, "It was a truly eye opening experience, making me even more determined to do what I can at Westminster to further raise the importance of dementia diagnosis and care. Thank you to the North West Chilterns Community Board and Princes Risborough Town Council for making this important experience available in Princes Risborough today."
