Greg Smith MP visited Marsh Gibbon Church of England School today alongside Cllr Angela Macpherson. Firstly to formally open their incredible new forest school, then to see the newly refurbished early years classroom.
Commenting, Greg said, "The forest school brings pupils closer to nurture and it was wonderful to see the pupils chopping and sawing wood, making dens, climbing trees, making hammocks and learning how to safely start a fire to roast marshmallows! Such a fantastic addition to the school - a huge thank you to Marsh Gibbon Parish Council and everyone involved in making this forest school happen.
"The new early years classroom, funded by the PTA, is a lovely space, really welcoming for the younger children in the school with some great books, educational play equipment and space.
"Such a warm and welcoming school - I enjoyed meeting many of the teachers and pupils and look forward to seeing them go from strength to strength."
