This morning Greg Smith MP questioned the Business and Trade Secretary - the Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch MP - on changes being made to the Retained EU Law (Revocation & Reform) Bill in the House of Lords.
Commenting afterwards, Greg said, "As a Member of the House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee, it is essential the Secretary of State comes before the Committee so that these changes can be fully scrutinised - and that in turn means the Report Stage of the Bill in the Lords being delayed until such scrutiny can take place. This Bill is essential in ending the anomaly of Retained EU Law in our legal system, which is integral to taking back control of our laws and Parliamentary sovereignty. We must get it right."
