This afternoon Greg Smith MP met (virtually) with the Chief Executive and senior leadership of Abbeyfield, owners of Abbeyfield House in Church Street, Princes Risborough following on from the announcement that Abbeyfield House may be facing closure. Greg has already met with family members in Princes Risborough and today's meeting was an opportunity to hold wide-ranging discussion with the charity's leadership.
Abbeyfield have agreed to look into the matters raised and have agreed to assist in anyway possible. Issues discussed included property refurbishment, legacy donations and legislative impacts sheltered accommodation providers.
Greg said, "I remain determined to support the residents and staff of Abbeyfield and will do everything I can to. A new operator may be needed for this well-loved local facility so I encourage people with any help or suggestions to get in contact."
