This morning Greg Smith MP visited DAF Trucks headquarters in Haddenham.
Commenting, Greg said, "A real pleasure to visit DAF Trucks UK HQ in Haddenham earlier, meeting with UK Managing Director David Kiss, Marketing Manager Phil Moon and other senior representatives.
"It's wonderful to have DAF Trucks HQ here in Buckinghamshire, employing 188 people. DAF is the only major commercial vehicle manufacturer producing trucks here in the UK, building over 15,000 vehicles every year. Indeed, almost every DAF vehicle registered in the UK, is built here in the UK.
"The training centre right here at the Haddenham HQ is first class, where their set up and equipment ensures everyone who services DAF trucks gets world class training.
"Fascinating conversation about the future of fuelling for trucks, seeing DAFs battery electric vehicles first hand and discussing the role of synthetic fuels, hydrogen and HVO."
