Greg Smith MP enjoyed volunteering and joining in the fun at the 2023 Kop Hill Climb in Princes Risborough today.
Commenting, Greg said, "Incredible day at the Kop Hill Climb - including the huge treat of waving the flag to send the first afternoon runners up the hill and earlier being driven up the hill by John Dennis in the incredible 1907 Berliet.
"It was a huge pleasure to spend time volunteering alongside Risboroughs ward Councillor Matthew Walsh and Princes Risborough Town Council Mayor Andy Ball - both marshalling traffic and pedestrian crossings as well as selling programmes at the gate. All proceeds from the programme sales go to charity!
"Of course the Kop Hill Climb is all about people, cars, and the huge array of local and national organisations that exhibit there. Great to catch up with, among others, Dom Taylor-Lane at the Association of Heritage Engineers, Thames Valley Air Ambulance Lindengate Charity BMMC UK Fuzz Townshend's Classic Oils and of course Heart of Bucks who administer the charitable funds raised at Kop Hill.
"Kop Hill Climb is one of my absolute favourite days of the year - a superb event, raising so much money for local charities - this year they will break £1million for charity since the event was re-started in 2009.
"A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this simply wonderful event happen each year and raise so much for local good causes - to all the committee, volunteers and all involved - you are all heroes."
