EAST WEST RAIL TRACK LAYING IS COMPLETE - WE'RE NEARLY FREE FROM EAST WEST RAIL CONSTRUCTION!!
After significant pain across all communities affected, East West Rail construction is nearly out of our hair! Greg Smith MP attended a ceremony where the final clips were pulled into place (Greg even did one himself) to complete the final track laying between Bicester and Bletchley.
There have been many rows along the way, but Greg is pleased East West Rail have done the responsible thing and agreed to resurface 21 local roads, some of which are already complete and are putting back land taken for compounds to how they found them.
With the Rail Minister, Huw Merriman, present yesterday, Greg once more pushed him, alongside Cllr Peter Martin, on the need for the other one - HS2 - to fix our roads that they had broken, a point Greg equally made to BBC South Today.
