Greg Smith MP was pleased to attend the Farm to Fork Summit at Number 10, Downing Street today.
Greg said, "There is no national security, without food security.
"A pleasure to be at No 10 for the second annual UK Farm to Fork Summit, where our Conservative Government unveiled the next steps of our plan to support British farmers and enhance food security.
"Farming is vital for our rural communities, sustaining our nation and caring for our land. Yet, we still rely too much on imports and we can go further in boosting the British farming industry.
"That’s why we’re launching the UK Food Security Index, outlining our Blueprint for Growing the UK Fruit and Vegetable Sector and addressing labour shortages with the Shropshire Review.
"We’re committed to backing British farmers, ensuring fair supply chains, and building resilient farming businesses to feed generations to come."
